Super Simple Mitered Placemats

Join us in learning to make a decorative quilted placemat with mitered borders. Mitering is an attractive and neat finish on corners that also reduces bulk in that area. A quick and simple project, you can make one or more in your favorite
fabrics.


In this class we will make one placemat, finished size: 12” x 16”.

Supplies:
 Main Center fabric: 1 fat quarter
 Backing with mitered border: 1 fat quarter
 Fusible fleece: 14” x 18”
 Coordinating thread for assembly and quilting
 Walking foot
 ¼” foot
 Fabric marker
 Rotary cutting supplies
 Acrylic ruler with a 45-degree line
 Basic sewing supplies
 Sewing machine, cables and manual
 Placemat pattern (included in class)

Note: To make a set of 4 placemats:
 Main Center fabric: 1 yard
 Backing with mitered border: 1 yard
 Fusible fleece: 1 yard
