byAnnie U: Foundations

Learn the basics of reading and creating byAnnie patterns with our in-house byAnnie guru, Christie. This foundations class is designed to build skills and confidence so you’re ready to take on future byAnnie projects with success.

The byAnnie U series includes two sessions, covering all facets of byAnnie patterns and products. Session 1 is the required starting point and is perfect for beginners or anyone needing a refresher.

Class Format
Project 1 will be completed before lunch. We’ll take a lunch break—bring your lunch or visit one of our nearby local eateries—then start Project 2 after lunch.

All class supplies receive a 15% discount

Projects (Pattern Included in Class Fee)

Project 1: Petite Fours
Named after sweet petit four cakes, these small organizers are quick to make and perfect for gifts or holding tiny treasures.
Finished Size: 2½” H x 5” W x 4” D

You Will Need:

Note: Cutting dimensions are listed as height (lengthwise grain) x width (crosswise grain with selvages on sides)
Main Fabric: Basket Body — 9” x 10”
Lining Fabric: Basket Lining — 10” x 10”
ByAnnie’s Soft and Stable®: Basket Stabilizer — 10” x 11”

Project 2: Call Me (Name Tag / Cell Phone Bag)
A lightweight, functional bag with vinyl, mesh, and a zippered pocket—perfect for holding a name tag, ID, phone, and essentials. The strap length is customized during construction.
Finished Size: 7¼” H x 4¾” W

This class introduces essential byAnnie techniques and is the perfect foundation before moving on to additional byAnnie U sessions and advanced projects.

• Classes canceled by Cut Up and Sew will be fully refunded to each student or, if preferred, students may receive store credit.

• If you are unable to make a class or event, please contact Cut Up and Sew 72 hours/3 days prior to the start date of such class or event to receive a full refund.

• There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours/3 days before the start date of a class.  Your class fee can be applied towards another class or returned in the form of store credit.

• There are no refunds on class fees for "Special Event" or outside teachers/classes within 30 days of the event date unless we can fill your spot with another person. 

• Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows".

• If you have a major emergency and need to cancel your attendance at a class, up to the time of such class we will work with you to either make up the class or provide you with a store credit.
