Radiant Star Trivet - Zoom

In this class, you’ll create a Folded Star Round Trivet—a decorative and heat-resistant mat perfect for protecting your surfaces from hot pots, pans, and serving dishes. By folding and arranging triangles of fabric into a layered star pattern, you’ll learn how to combine precision, color play, and texture into a striking, functional piece.

Not only will you leave class with a finished trivet, but you’ll also gain the skills to make more for gifts, seasonal décor, or to match your kitchen theme. The pattern and templates are included with your class fee, so you’ll be ready to stitch more at home!

Supplies to Bring

• Sewing machine with a 90/14 topstitch needle

• Wonder clips

• Small and large scissors

• Prairie Pointer tool

• Best Press or Flatter spray

• Small iron and ironing mat

• Small cutting mat

• 6 ½" × 12 ½" ruler (or similar size)

• At least one fat quarter for making bias binding

• Variegated thread for topstitching

• 4–5 coordinating fat quarters

• Classes canceled by Cut Up and Sew will be fully refunded to each student or, if preferred, students may receive store credit.

• If you are unable to make a class or event, please contact Cut Up and Sew 72 hours/3 days prior to the start date of such class or event to receive a full refund.

• There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours/3 days before the start date of a class.  Your class fee can be applied towards another class or returned in the form of store credit.

• There are no refunds on class fees for "Special Event" or outside teachers/classes within 30 days of the event date unless we can fill your spot with another person. 

• Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows".

• If you have a major emergency and need to cancel your attendance at a class, up to the time of such class we will work with you to either make up the class or provide you with a store credit.
