Solaris - Edge To Edge - PC

Class Overview:

This class is designed for quilting enthusiasts looking to master the Solaris Edge-to-Edge quilting function. Bring your prepped table runner quilt and learn the techniques to achieve beautiful, professional quilting results using your Baby Lock Solaris or Brother Luminaire machine with Upgrade 3.

Project Requirements:

• Table Runner Quilt: Center approximately 34” x 16” (can be smaller, but please do not make it much bigger).
• Border: 1.50” – 3.75” inches wide (example: 3” wide).

Preparation:

• Quilt Top: Must be completed.
• Quilt Sandwich: Top, batting, and backing sandwiched and pinned, ready for quilting.
• Backing and Batting: At least 8 inches larger than the quilt top, with at least 4 inches extended all around the top.

Class Activities:

1. Quilting the Center: Learn to quilt the central part of your table runner.
2. Quilting the Border: Techniques for quilting the border to complement the center design.

Materials Needed:

• Machine Requirements:
  • Baby Lock Solaris with Upgrade 3 or Brother Luminaire with Upgrade 3
  • Machine with embroidery arm and foot
  • 10” x 10” hoop or larger (Magnet hoops from Baby Lock or Brother can be used)
• Supplies:
  • Embroidery needles (75/11 or 80/12)
  • 30 weight embroidery thread for quilting
  • Bobbins
  • Measuring tape
  • Normal class supplies: scissors, seam ripper, etc.

Special Class Discount:

• Receive a 15% discount on all class supplies.

Notes:

• Ensure your quilt is prepped according to the specifications mentioned above to maximize class time for learning and practicing quilting techniques.
• Come prepared with all necessary materials and your machine in good working order.

Class Cancellations/Refunds:

• Classes canceled by Cut Up and Sew will be fully refunded to each student or, if preferred, students may receive store credit.

• If you are unable to make a class or event, please contact Cut Up and Sew 72 hours/3 days prior to the start date of such class or event to receive a full refund.

• There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours/3 days before the start date of a class.  Your class fee can be applied towards another class or returned in the form of store credit.

• There are no refunds on class fees for "Special Event" or outside teachers/classes within 30 days of the event date unless we can fill your spot with another person. 

• Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows".

• If you have a major emergency and need to cancel your attendance at a class, up to the time of such class we will work with you to either make up the class or provide you with a store credit.
