Color Confidence for Quilters - SA

Unlock the secrets to mastering color in quilting with Joann’s Quilter’s Color with Confidence class! Over four weeks, you’ll learn the foundational skills needed to confidently pull colors together while creating a simple yet versatile block with endless color layout possibilities.

This class is perfect for quilters who’ve made a quilt or two and are ready to take their understanding of color to the next level. If you have an accurate ¼" seam, you’re ready to join the fun! Plus, you’ll get hands-on experience working with fabrics and tools, while sharing and learning from fellow classmates.

What You’ll Learn:

• The basics of color theory and how to combine dark, medium, and light fabrics.
• Techniques for creating and assembling a simple block with infinite design potential.
• Confidence in experimenting with color choices to enhance your quilt designs.

Supply List:

1. Fabric: 1 yard each of dark, medium, and light batik fabrics (please, no browns). Be open to sharing your fabric with the class—it’s all part of the fun!
2. Rulers & Rotary Cutters: 12 ½" x 6 ½" and 4 ½" x 8 ½" Creative Grids rulers are recommended.
3. 3-in-1 Color Tool: Available in the shop (students enjoy 15% off class supplies).
4. Sewing Machine: With a ¼" foot. Don’t forget your power cord and foot pedal!
5. Thread: Neutral color (gray or taupe).
