Easy and fun to make, these bags come in five sizes and are perfect for storing and carrying make-up, sewing supplies, tech gear, and more.
The pattern includes complete step-by-step instructions for making the bags with or without quilted fabric and for adding optional iron-on vinyl laminate to make the inside easy to wipe clean.
Double-slide zippers and handy grab tabs make the bags easy to open wide while attached side panels prevent contents from falling out. An optional strap with swivel hook may also be added.
When empty, the bags nest inside one another to save space.
Finished sizes of bags are as follows:
Extra Small (XS): 2¾"H x 3½"W x 2"D
Small (S): 3½"H x 4½"W x 3"D
Medium (M): 4¼"H x 5½"W x 4"D
Large (L): 4"H x 6½"W x 4"D
Extra Large (XL): 5½"H x 7½"W x 5"D
Each student will make one Clam Up in either the XL, L or M size. Students must have their own pattern, which is included in the class fee. Sign up (and attend) at least two byAnnie University classes and receive a $10 coupon toward your next shopping trip.
Supplies: In addition to those mentioned on the pattern, it is suggested you bring the following items to class to facilitate the completion of your Bag:
Sewing machine in good working order with power cord, foot pedal and bobbins for your machine.
Zipper foot and walking foot
Zipper Jig (optional)
1/8" or 1/4" Basting tape
Circular templates for 2-1/2" and 6-1/2" (see last page of pattern)
Normal sewing accessories:
Matching thread
Wonder clips
Stilletto (optional but useful)
Topstitch Needle 90/14 (bring extras)
"Normal" sewing supplies (frixion pen or chaulk, scissors, rotary cutter, seam ripper, etc.)
Class preparation: Using file folders, plastic, or freezer paper, trace and cut out the appropriate size of your Clam Up Bag. You will use this template to cut out your fabrics.
Note: If you want to add a bit more "pizazz" to your Clam Up, bring along a 40" of 2.25" bias binding to add to the zipper. More details on this during class.
Class Cancellations/Refunds:

Classes canceled by Cut Up and Sew will be fully refunded to each student or, if preferred, students may receive store credit.

If you are unable to make a class or event, please contact Cut Up and Sew 72 hours/3 days prior to the start date of such class or event to receive a full refund.

There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 72 hours/3 days before the start date of a class. Your class fee can be applied towards another class or returned in the form of store credit.

There are no refunds on class fees for "Special Event" or outside teachers/classes within 30 days of the event date unless we can fill your spot with another person.

Refunds will not be provided for "No Shows".

If you have a major emergency and need to cancel your attendance at a class, up to the time of such class we will work with you to either make up the class or provide you with a store credit.
