Start off your new year with this great quilt that is not only fun to make but it also provides some wonderful learning opportunities! In this class you will learn several tips and techniques that you can use to improve your piecing precision. There are several variations of this quilt so it will be a surprise to see how everyone's will turn out differently! And, if that's not enough, you will get to spend your time with a delightful group of women!!
The Quilt is approximately 68" square but you can make it smaller or larger if desired.
SUPPLY LIST:
-Sewing Machine
-1/4" foot
-Neutral color thread
-Stiletto
-Acrylic rulers:
12 1/2" x 6 1/2"
18 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Quilt in a Day triangle square up ruler (6 1/2" square) OR 6 1/2" block lock ruler
-Rotary cutter with fresh blade
-Basic sewing supplies
-Rotating cutting mat (not necessary to buy one but it's nice if you have one)
Fabric:
-This quilt starts out with 10" squares so you can use a layer cake OR cut 10" squares from your stash.
-2 3/4 yards for background/border fabric
Notes: Medallion quilt is easier to make with only 2 colors. a Star is totally scrap friendly!

| Instructor Bio: | New to Florida, but not new to quilting, JoAnn is looking forward to this opportunity to teach at Cut up and Sew. First taught to sew in her teens by her best friend?s mother, sewing quickly became a passion. Back then she made her clothes then her kids clothes, her kids friends clothes, and her kids doll clothes. Later, another friend introduced her to quilting. That led to a lifelong passion for quilting and fabric collection (two different pursuits you know). She has taught at several quilt shops and is certified as both a Laura Heine Collage teacher and Quilt in a Day teacher. JoAnn, her husband and their dog Cody left family, friends and perfect weather behind and now resides in Palm Coast Florida. |
