Super Simple Mitered Placemats

Join us in learning to make a decorative quilted placemat with mitered borders. Mitering is an attractive and neat finish on corners that also reduces bulk in that area. A quick and simple project, you can make one or more in your favorite
fabrics.
In this class we will make one placemat, finished size: 12” x 16”.
Supplies:
Main Center fabric: 1 fat quarter
Backing with mitered border: 1 fat quarter
Fusible fleece: 14” x 18”
Coordinating thread for assembly and quilting
Walking foot
¼” foot
Fabric marker
Rotary cutting supplies
Acrylic ruler with a 45-degree line
Basic sewing supplies
Sewing machine, cables and manual
Placemat pattern (included in class)
Note: To make a set of 4 placemats:
Main Center fabric: 1 yard
Backing with mitered border: 1 yard
Fusible fleece: 1 yard
