Alterations Workshop with Mary McCarthy
If you are not a perfect size, this class is for you! In this this hands-on workshop you will learn how to alter the clothes you buy to make them fit and feel like custom made. Mary will show you how to assess the fit of your garments, how to pin, mark and stitch the changes. Topics covered include bustline, hips, waistline, hems, shoulders, sleeves and more.
Bring 2-3 garments that need to be adjusted.

- Scissors
- Straight pins
- Seam ripper
- Tape measure
- Small ruler or seam gauge
- Marking pen
- Tailor’s chalk
- 2 or 3 garments to alter
- Thread to match garments
- Sewing machine
