Join us in sewing up a simple and eye-catching messenger bag. This cross-body bag features an inside divided pocket and a flap closure (no zipper or Velcro makes this an easy project). In this class you will work with fusible fleece and fusible interfacing, as well as construct a lining and some simple patchwork. A walking foot is essential!

Sewing machine in good working order, power cord, foot pedal, manual
Coordinating thread
¼” foot and walking foot
Scissors for cutting paper
Sewing Scissors
Seam Ripper
Straight pins and Wonder Clips
Rotary cutter, cutting mat, acrylic ruler
Travel iron and ironing mat (optional – there will be three ironing stations available)
Fabric List:
Main fabric: 1/2 yard (back and front flap of bag)
Lining fabric: 1/2 yard (lining and pocket)
Strap fabric: 1/2 yard (straps and pocket)
All three fabrics will be used in the patchwork
Fusible fleece: 1/2 yard
Medium to heavy weight fusible interfacing: 1/2 yard
